Whether you’re a weekend traveler or a full-time RVer, your camper can get messy very quickly. Due to the limited space, you may have been shoving things in any available cabinet and you may still have a lot of clutter hanging around. A clean and tidy camper is always nicer to stay in, so here are some tips to help you keep your camper organized.

Use Containers

Since your camper probably doesn’t have a lot of drawers or cabinets, you’ll need to find alternate places to store things and keep them together. A set of stackable plastic crates or drawers can fit neatly into a bedroom corner or closet to hold anything from electronics to socks to makeup.

You can also get smaller containers that will fit into your cabinets to organize things like spices, ingredients, toiletries, and cleaning supplies so that you know where everything is when you need it.

Reduce Clutter

It may be helpful to go through your camper room by room to see what items you do and don’t use frequently. There are probably some things you’re keeping in your camper that are simply gathering dust, and you don’t need them to take up valuable space. Create a donation bag or bin that you can fill up or take to a local Goodwill or other secondhand shop.

Hang Things Up

The walls in your camper may be an underused bit of real estate that can help you stay organized. Putting up lightweight shelving can give you a place to store knickknacks or small items like books. A hanging basket in your kitchen can hold fruits and vegetables up and out of the way. Installing a magnetic knife strip on your backsplash also keeps your knives handy and out of the way.
